Suzlon Energy is one of India's largest renewable energy companies, specialising in wind energy solutions. Founded in 1995, it designs, manufactures, and supplies wind turbine generators (WTGs) along with providing operations and maintenance services. Suzlon serves independent power producers, utilities, and corporate clients across India and select international markets.

Suzlon's core product line includes hybrid-lattice and tubular tower wind turbines ranging from 2 MW to 3+ MW capacity, optimised for India's low-to-medium wind regimes. Its S-series turbines feature large rotor diameters for higher energy yield. In-house blade manufacturing and advanced pitch-control systems differentiate its technology stack.

Suzlon operates an integrated manufacturing ecosystem covering blades, nacelles, hubs, and towers across multiple Indian facilities. Its vertically integrated model spans several hundred MW to multi-GW annual production potential, positioning it as one of the few fully domestic wind turbine manufacturers in India.

Suzlon commands a dominant share of India's wind turbine market, serving IPPs, PSUs, and large C&I corporates under long-term supply and O&M contracts. Internationally, it has scaled back to focus on India's fast-growing renewable market, leveraging its 20,000+ MW installed base and extensive after-sales service network.

Suzlon deploys SCADA-based remote monitoring across its installed fleet, enabling predictive maintenance and performance optimisation at scale. Its iSpin and remote diagnostics platforms use sensor fusion and data analytics to reduce downtime and O&M costs. Automated blade and nacelle assembly lines improve manufacturing consistency, yield, and cost competitiveness across its vertically integrated plants.

Suzlon is consistently among the top two wind turbine suppliers in India by annual installations. Its integrated manufacturing, large serviced fleet, and domestic supply chain give it a structural cost and execution advantage over imported-technology competitors in the Indian market.
