Suzlon Energy is one of India's largest renewable energy companies, specialising in wind turbine manufacturing, project development, and operations. Founded in 1995, Suzlon designs, manufactures, and supplies wind turbine generators (WTGs) and offers end-to-end wind energy solutions including site assessment, installation, commissioning, and long-term operations and maintenance services across India and select global markets.

Suzlon's core product line includes hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) towers and a range of onshore wind turbine platforms with rotor diameters up to 140+ metres, optimised for low, medium, and high wind sites. Its S144 and S120 series turbines feature advanced aerodynamic blade design, pitch control systems, and condition monitoring to maximise annual energy production at varied wind regimes.

Suzlon operates an integrated, vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystem covering blades, nacelles, hubs, and towers across multiple Indian states. Its cumulative installed base exceeds 20 GW globally, reflecting large-scale production capability built over nearly three decades of continuous operations and supply chain deepening.

Suzlon commands a leading share of India's onshore wind market, serving IPPs, PSUs, and C&I clients across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Internationally, after a strategic restructuring, Suzlon has refocused on India while retaining select presence in the Middle East and Africa.

Suzlon deploys SCADA-based remote monitoring across its installed fleet, enabling real-time turbine performance analytics and predictive maintenance. Its iSpin platform integrates condition monitoring sensors, AI-driven fault diagnostics, and energy yield optimisation algorithms. Automated manufacturing lines in blade and nacelle facilities reduce cycle times and improve dimensional precision, while digital twin adoption is being integrated into design and lifecycle management workflows.

Suzlon is India's largest domestic wind turbine manufacturer by cumulative installed capacity, holding a multi-decade market leadership position. Post-debt restructuring, it has regained financial stability and order momentum, though it faces increasing competition from global OEMs and a resurgent Inox Wind in new tender cycles.
